Get To Know Our Beliefs

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. – Hebrews 11:1-3

Shannon Alder once said, “Fear is the glue that keeps you stuck. Faith is the solvent that sets you free.” Hebrews tells us that faith is simply believing in what you cannot see. It’s important to know what you believe and why.

We believe in God’s Holy Word. We believe it is fully inspired by God, true and without error. Our faith, conduct and doctrine are founded upon the Bible.
We believe Jesus is the one and only Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. He ascended to heaven and today sits at the right hand of the Father, as the Intercessor. We believe in One God existing and actively working in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. We believe Salvation comes through repentance and is necessary for forgiveness of sins. Jesus is the only way in which we can be saved.
We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood and a declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives direction. This language is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in regularly partaking in communion, an act of remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe every believer should cultivate a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus through reading and obeying His Word, being lead by the Spirit and willingly being transformed into the image of Christ.
